AMAZON INDIA – THE GREAT INDIAN FESTIVAL VIRTUAL EVENT

The opening note of India’s Diwali shopping season, reimagined as an immersive virtual experience. For the launch of Amazon’s Great Indian Festival 2020, Creative Factory designed and delivered a large-scale digital event that combined green screen production, virtual environments, and post-production storytelling to create an engaging broadcast for audiences and media across the country.

Streamed on 6 October 2020, the 32-minute virtual event served as the official curtain raiser for one of India’s largest annual shopping festivals. The objective was to capture the excitement and energy of the campaign while embracing the possibilities of a fully digital production format.

Shot entirely on green screen, the event was built around a series of bespoke immersive environments designed to complement the vibrant nature of the festival. Rather than relying on conventional studio settings, dynamic virtual worlds were created to support the narrative, allowing presenters and performances to move seamlessly through visually rich spaces that reflected the spirit of celebration, innovation, and discovery.

Creative Factory’s role encompassed the creative visualisation of the event, green screen production planning, virtual environment design, and post-production integration. Each segment was carefully crafted to maintain momentum, with cinematic transitions and evolving digital backdrops creating a continuous storytelling experience throughout the programme.

The combination of virtual production techniques and post-production visual effects allowed the event to transcend the limitations of a physical venue, delivering a polished broadcast that connected with audiences across multiple platforms while preserving the excitement of a live launch.
