Jain Temple Inauguration
Fourteen hours a day, across six days, for fifteen thousand guests. The inauguration of a Jain temple in Mumbai in May 2015 unfolded as a continuous projection mapping experience, designed to narrate the many chapters of a sacred life through light, imagery, and spatial storytelling.
Creative Factory was entrusted with creating a visual journey that could sustain itself across long durations of viewing, while remaining meaningful, respectful, and engaging for a large and diverse audience. The experience was not structured as a single performance, but as an evolving narrative that ran throughout the entire celebration period.
The projection mapping content traced themes drawn from Jain philosophy and tradition, translating spiritual ideas into visual form through carefully composed sequences. Each chapter of the narrative was designed to flow seamlessly into the next, allowing visitors to enter at any point in the day and still experience a complete and coherent story.
Given the scale of attendance and the extended operating hours, the creative approach focused on endurance, clarity, and emotional continuity. The visuals were designed to remain visually rich yet contemplative, supporting the sacred nature of the occasion while maintaining consistency across repeated cycles.
From concept development and narrative structuring to content design, projection mapping execution, and on-ground coordination, Creative Factory worked to ensure that the experience remained technically stable and creatively intact over six continuous days of operation.
The result was a rare form of long-duration immersive storytelling—where architecture, light, and philosophy came together to create a living visual expression of faith and celebration.
