Fourteen countries. One global moment. To mark the return of Stranger Things Season 4, landmarks across the world were illuminated as part of a coordinated international celebration—and India stood proudly among them.
Creative Factory was entrusted with bringing the world of Netflix’s Stranger Things to life at Mumbai’s iconic Gateway of India, transforming the historic monument into a cinematic canvas that reflected the tone, mystery, and scale of the series.
The projection mapping experience translated the distinctive visual language of the show into an immersive architectural display, layering atmosphere, emotion, and narrative across the monument’s façade. The aim was to recreate the sense of tension and wonder that defines the Stranger Things universe, while respecting the cultural and architectural significance of the site.
Working in close collaboration with Netflix India, Creative Land Asia, and our technical partner Spectrum AV India, the project combined creative storytelling with precise technical execution to ensure a seamless large-scale projection experience in a complex outdoor environment.
From content design and creative direction to mapping, calibration, and on-ground execution, every detail was engineered to align with both the global campaign vision and the unique characteristics of the Gateway of India. The result was a striking visual takeover that connected Mumbai to a worldwide celebration of the series’ return.
